Our Team

As a leader in commercial fitouts and office design Sydney-wide, Sheldon comprises a dedicated team of designers, project managers, administrators, production staff and co-ordinators with over 100 years combined experience. Leading the team are:

  1. Peter Law - Director. Since founding Sheldon in 1989, Peter has successfully built Sheldon into an innovative and diverse company. He pioneered the development of Sheldons business units and systems, including our project management and design divisions, followed by our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, partitioning, electrical and remedial building divisions. His strong attention to detail has seen Sheldon go from strength to strength, and today has over 60 employees, over 2,000 satisfied customers and an impressive portfolio of projects.
  2. Robert Bagatella - Managing Director. Robert joined the Sheldon team in 1992 as a Site Supervisor. Showing an instinctive ability to lead and motivate others, Robert was progressively promoted into office refurbishment, project management and then Account Management before accepting the role as Managing Director in 2010. Currently one of our longest serving employees, Robert is not only a valued member of the Sheldon family, but well known and respected by clients past and present.
  3. David Monardo - Sales Director. David commenced with Sheldon in 1997 as a draftsman, backed by two Associate Diplomas in Architectural Drafting. After building a strong relationship with clients through his involvement in commercial interior design, project management and costing, and with an extensive knowledge of the commercial fitout industry, David was offered the role of Sales Director in 2010. David's enthusiastic attitude to work, client liaison skills and patient instruction make him an excellent mentor to Sheldon staff, particularly those undergoing our trainee program and he is a vital member of the Sheldon team.
  4. Roxane Kourakis - Account Director. With Roxane's extensive 10 years' plus experience with Sheldon in both design and project management, Roxane's role as Account Director includes developing corporate clients and working with Sheldon's design and project management teams to ensure the successful delivery of Sheldon's clients' office fitout transformation.

Sheldons team for office design in Sydney is highly qualified and draws upon a wealth of experience. Members of the team for office design in Sydney include:

  1. Michael Hala - Design Manager. With extensive experience as an architectural draftsperson, Michael completed a degree in Architecture at UTS with first class honours. After having spent time at a number of architecture firms working on a variety of projects, including commercial interior design developments, Michael joined Sheldon in 2008.
  2. Alex Aloe - Senior Interior Designer. Alex graduated first of his class with a bachelor degree in Interior Architecture. Alex has more than 16 years' international experience in conceptual design, design development and client management. He proudly served as a Professor's Assistant tutoring in Damascus University, as well as the International European University for three years.
  3. Jacqueline Lo - Interior Designer. Jacqueline started with Sheldon in 2013 after completing a Bachelor of Design majoring in Interior Design at Raffles College of Design and Commerce in 2012. With her passion for design and drafting Jacqueline has quickly excelled within her position as part of the Sheldon Design Team.
  4. Kania Sachrudi - Interior Designer. Kania graduated from the Design Centre in Enmore after completing an Advanced Diploma if Interior Design. She has extensive areas of expertise in interior design, design development, space planning, corporate re-imaging, product specification and sourcing, finish selections, drafting and 3D imaging. With such versatility, skill and 10 years of experience in corporate office interior design Kania and her passion is greatly valued at Sheldon Commercial Interiors.
  5. Tara Gunasekera - Interior Designer. Tara started with Sheldon in 2012, having completed a Degree of Interior Architecture with First Class Honours at UNSW. Her studies have been populated with numerous awards, including a nomination for the Australasian Student Design Award (2011) and a Design Institute of Australia Graduate of the Year nomination (2010).
  6. Vivien Bartlett - Interior Designer. Vivien originally started with Sheldon as a Student Intern in 2011 and has now returned on a full time basis after having completed her a Bachelor of Design majoring in Interior Design at Raffles College of Design and Commerce, North Sydney. Vivien's creativity and attention to detail make her a great fit for the Sheldon Design Team.

Managing Office Refurbishments

Overseeing our commercial interior design processes and office refurbishments are the project management team, comprising:

  1. Daniel O'Brien - Electrical & Data Manager. Daniel's experience in the electrical field includes domestic and commercial fitouts and construction, through to management of maintenance contracts in a commercial environment. Heading this division in Sheldon, Daniel is committed to meeting client expectations on time and in a professional manner.
  2. Darren O'Halloran - Partition Manager. Darren started with Sheldon in 2001 after obtaining a degree in Construction Management as well as certification in Carpentry and Joinery and a Diploma in IT. His experience enables him to cost special design features quickly and precisely, allowing each client a unique commercial fitout.
  3. Rod Kruger - Head Project Manager. Having trained with Sheldon as a shopfitter, Rods attention to detail and management skills, coupled with extensive studies in project management, have enabled him to progress to a senior project management position at Sheldon.
  4. James Maric - Senior Project Manager. With over 18 years of experience in the design and construct industry, James’ strength lies in his ability to oversee projects from concept through to completion, working closely with the project, site and design teams to complete projects according to deadlines, design intent and budget. James aims to continuously challenge himself, always looking to implement new ideas to the benefit of his clients.
  5. James Brook - Project Manager. James brings to Sheldon Construction Services over ten years practical industry experience combined with tertiary qualifications in construction and project management. James has a strong background in project management and site management of complex building projects across the residential and commercial industry sectors.
  6. Steven Jacobs - Junior Project Manager. After gaining experience at a uniquely young age in IT, property development and residential and commercial fitout, Steven's passion for project management led him to his role at Sheldon. His growing knowledge of the different industry sectors is backed by a Bachelor of Business Administration, which he is completing at Macquarie University.
  7. Tony Constantine - Project Manager. Tony is responsible for maintaining Sheldon's key relationships and compiling reliable costs involved in a project. Having previously worked as a Project Manager at Sheldon, Tony has a great understanding of the project lifecycle. As well as commercial interiors, Tony has worked across a range of sectors, including shop fitouts and hospitality spaces.

On Budget and On Time Commercial Interior Design

Administration is key to completing office refurbishments and new commercial fitouts on time and on budget. Sheldons administrative team includes:

  1. Belinda Maybury - HR & Office Manager. Belinda has over 10 years' management, recruitment, facilities management and administration experience. Belinda prides herself on her organisational skills, team dedication and assisting in all aspects of the business.
  2. Emily Roberson - Receptionist. Emily joins Sheldon after moving from New Zealand as an experienced Receptionist/Administrator with a commercial fitout background. She's organised and hardworking with an interest in furthering herself within the team.
  3. Emma Freeman - Communications Coordinator. Emma brings to Sheldon over 5 years of experience in communications and marketing. Since making the leap from publishing to the world of commercial interiors, Emma works closely with the Sheldon team to implement marketing campaigns, and ensures our internal and external communications are of the highest standard.
  4. Joanne Brill - Financial Controller. Joanne joined Sheldon in 2015 with 20 plus years' local and international experience in the accounting and finance field. Joanne graduated with a B.Com from the University of Tasmania and is a qualified CPA. Having worked in diverse industries, including hospitality, retail, security, environmental services and coal mining, she brings a wealth of experience to the management team. Joanne is committed to assisting Sheldon grow and achieve success in all areas.
  5. Sanju Singh - Accountant. Sanju has been building his career as an assistant accountant since 2012. Joining the Sheldon Team as our accountant, Sanju assists Joanne in ensuring all aspects of our accounts department runs to its greatest capacity.

Co-ordinating Commercial Fitouts

Implementing our solutions for office design in Sydney, Sheldons site co-ordinators and Electrical team include:

  1. Ian McIntosh - Site Manager. Ian has over 30 years' experience on site in the Residential and Commercial industry across all aspects of site coordination, carpentry & maintenance. Ian's work ethic, attention to detail and co-ordination skills are exceptional and greatly valued. Ian is hands on and always only too happy to assist with all requirements on site.
  2. Greg Eades - Site Manager. Greg has 10 years international detailed joinery and carpentry experience. He has a unique understanding of the design and construct process, having spent a number of years working as a Site Manager as well as spending time working as a Project Administrator. Greg’s ongoing commitment to his colleagues, clients and contractors makes him a valuable member of the Sheldon team.
  3. Mick Costin - Site Manager. Mick brings to Sheldon over 28 years of hands-on experience in construction project management, shop fitting and office fitouts. He has a proven track record and wealth of experience in managing small to large sized construction projects, and the day-to-day operations of a construction site.
  4. Brad Glen - Electrician. Brad has been in the electrical trade for over 8 years. He has a variety of knowledge in various electrical installations. From domestic to industrial to commercial. Brad thrives in a high quality team environment and embraces the challenges of Sheldon's high spec quality fit out work.
  5. Michael Morris - Electrician. Michael has 5 years' experience in the electrical industry and has recently completed his studies. Michael's experience extends to construction and industrial projects in both electrical and data and communications.
  6. Shane Stoddart - Electrician. Shane has 9 years Electrical experience. As a team leader he inspires the team to produce quality work efficiently.
