Indigenous Engagement
Sheldon is, and always has been, passionate about increasing our cultural awareness around Indigenous people and their communities and to bridge the gap in Indigenous employment, opportunity and health.
Sheldon’s Regeneration Action Plan (RAP)
Where we are now
Sheldon has formed its own Regenerate Action Plan (RAP) Committee and in November 2018, submitted it’s first official “RAP – Reflect”. The RAP Committee meet on a bi-monthly basis to work on actioning the items outlined in our current RAP and to strategize our plan for increased cultural proficiency.
What we are working towards
We are currently working to implement our “RAP – Innovate”, which will be carried out over the coming years
Community Connection
Sheldon prides itself on its Indigenous community connections, immersing communities and staff through cultural awareness events and involvement with Indigenous groups and centers.
Indigenous Project Procurement
It is important at Sheldon that we not only engage with Indigenous communities and perspectives internally, but through our projects too.
Sheldon assists with your IPP targets by engaging first nations stakeholders for service and product procurement through supply nation.
