After 50 years James Hardie sought to uplift and modernize their office space. Embracing work-life change in the post-COVID era. In the spirit of this collaboration-focused approach, Sheldon actively guided James Hardie through from design to construction. A priority for the team was to facilitate teamwork and increase inter-team collaboration throughout the space.
Solution
Sheldon looked to provide James Hardie with a contemporary, open plan and functional space. Sheldon’s in-house manufacturing division manufactured and installed custom booth seating, staff lockers alongside custom joinery for use in the kitchen and breakout area.
The contemporary desking systems and space arrangement, promote both social and collaborative interaction, without compromising functionality. Multiple quiet zones, open and closed meeting spaces were built throughout with the latest in collaborative furniture styles and audio-visual technology to support teamwork.
Result
Delivered on time, within budget and to high quality for our client, James Hardie have already reported on the differences the renovation has made. Specifically, the company has reported an improved morale and workplace happiness amongst colleagues (see testimonial). This much desired outcome is the result of Sheldon creating a future proofed and collaborative space whilst supporting our clients core requirements.
“The team at Sheldon transformed our old, dated office into a stunning, homely, and modern environment that enables strong collaboration and connectivity amongst the workforce. Throughout the design and construction process, the project team maintained a high level of communication and were extremely accommodating and responsive to any additional requests or design changes.
As we held partial occupancy of the building throughout, it was critical that the staged approach to construction was managed closely. This was something that Sheldon’s Site Managers excelled at. It was a very enjoyable experience working with Sheldon on this project, and really rewarding to reveal the newly rejuvenated office space to my fellow colleagues.”
