Indigenous Engagement and Procurement
Sheldon has always been passionate about increasing our cultural awareness around Indigenous people and communities, and to work towards bridging the gap in Indigenous employment, opportunity and health.
Sheldon’s Reconciliation Action Plan (Innovate)
Sheldon formed its own Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Committee and in November 2018, submitted its first official “RAP – Reflect”. The RAP Committee meet on a bi-monthly basis to work on actioning the items outlined in our current RAP and to plan for increased cultural proficiency.
We are currently working to implement our “RAP – Innovate”, which will be carried out over the coming years, outlining Sheldon’s internal, community, and economic initiatives to improve outcomes for Indigenous communities.
CoDesign + Sheldon is a Supply Nation certified majority-owned Indigenous business that provides a complete turn-key office fitout service with a focus on environmental sustainability.
Through a regenerative approach to workplace design and construction, as well as caring for Country by using a significant portion of its profits to fund land regeneration initiatives, CoDesign + Sheldon’s goal is to combat the environmental impacts of the fitout industry.
Community Connection
Sheldon prides itself on its Indigenous community connections, immersing communities and staff through cultural awareness events and involvement with Indigenous groups and centers.
Indigenous Project Procurement
It is important that we not only engage with Indigenous communities and perspectives internally, but through our projects too.
Sheldon assists with your IPP targets by engaging Indigenous stakeholders for service and product procurement through Supply Nation.
