In 2022, Sheldon and Investa Property Group celebrated NAIDOC Week with the launch of an art exhibition featuring local Indigenous artists.
The exhibition featured a smoke ceremony, Jannawi Dancers, traditional Indigenous catering and a wide variety of beautiful artwork that celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Indigenous people.

To pay respect to Elders of the oldest continuing culture in the world, Sheldon and Investa held a day of information and celebration at North Sydney during NAIDOC week 2023.
Guests were treated to a taste of bread made with the native grains discussed in Bruce Pascoe’s book Dark Emu, harvested and milled by traditional owners and cooked up in the kitchen in Sheldon’s office. The smoking ceremony and main address was given by Wiradjuri Yuin Elder Richard ‘Cooma’ Swain, who talked about how we are all custodians of Country and what we can do to better Care for Country.
The NAIDOC week theme of “For our Elders” reminds us that Elders have deep connections to Country, which Sheldon acknowledges and honours.
Innovative thinking inspired Sheldon to start one of Sydney’s first design-and-construct office fitout businesses in 1990. Innovation still drives us today.

Always ones to think outside the box, Sheldon’s team designed a unique meeting room for our office. It looks like a caravan, it feels like a caravan inside, it’s called the ‘Care-a-van’.
Custom-made at Sheldon’s manufacturing facility and fully equipped with seating and a meeting room table, this quirky meeting room is the perfect quiet spot for individual work or a few people to collaborate.

Identifying the right tenants and tailoring spaces to their needs is critical for successfully leasing speculative suites. Recent data shows that Sydney speculative suites primarily attract tenants from the financial services, technology, and professional services sectors, with each sector accounting for around 25% of leased suites from 2022 to 2024 (Sheldon Interiors). This pattern aligns with a larger trend where companies are increasingly opting for pre-fitted spaces over traditional warm or cold shells, reducing the time and hassle of a full fit-out.
