Sheldon's ESG Management Receives EcoVadis Gold Medal

Sheldon earned a gold medal in our recent EcoVadis assessment of our ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) management system and reporting. With a score of 79/100, Sheldon placed in the top 2% for ESG management across all companies assessed by EcoVadis worldwide.

EcoVadis assesses a range of measurements and progress across four main evaluation areas: Environment, Ethics, Labour and Human Rights, and Sustainable Procurement. It is a globally recognised 3rd party ESG assessor that has been utilised by over 130,000 companies worldwide.

Through this process Sheldon showcased our continued ESG efforts and commitment to the circular economy through our projects and operations, as well as external engagement with Indigenous and land regeneration initiatives.  

Sheldon's sustainability management system demonstrates a genuine commitment to promoting transparency throughout the value chain. In 2024, Sheldon released its ESG Management Framework, which identifies six guiding principles for Sheldon's operations:

  • Low Carbon Office Fitouts: Reducing embodied carbon through collaboration with internal divisions and stakeholders to create office environments with reduced impact on the environment.

  • Circular Operations: Managing Sheldon's operations and services through the principles of the circular economy.

  • Engaged Communities: Indigenous engagement and community participation.

  • Thriving Teams: Happy, diverse and healthy teams working together to achieve these goals.

  • Exemplary WHS: Industry leading QMS and WHS management systems.

  • Responsible Supply Chain: Ethical sourcing and stakeholder engagement.

Sheldon generated a sustainability report for the 2023/2024 Financial Year. The highlights include:

  • Carbon free deliveries with Sheldon's electric truck – a 100% reduction in emissions.

  • Scope 1 and 2 emissions reporting with targets for reduction in FY24/25 through renewable energy installations and further sustainable transportation investments.

  • 95% site waste recycling rate maintained across all sites.

  • 85% recycling rate achieved in Sheldon’s manufacturing facility.

  • Several adaptive reuse projects completed with a 30%+ reduction in carbon emissions.

Sheldon's electric truck has reduced carbon emissions of deliveries by 100%.
