Refined Workplace Design
Guided by the overarching brief, the design language of this suite reflects the quiet elegance of the MQX building, translating its architectural character into a warm yet sophisticated workplace. Timber joinery, deep green tones and sculptural elements are layered with soft ambient lighting to create depth and refinement, while polished concrete flooring and veined marble reinforce a contemporary aesthetic.
The space unfolds around a generous breakout zone anchored by a premium kitchen, complemented by a clear and welcoming arrival area. Flexible meeting spaces, including a boardroom with an operable wall, collaborative zones and multiple quiet rooms with acoustic panelling allow the suite to comfortably support hybrid work arrangements and neurodiverse needs.
Overcoming Site-specific Challenges
Coordination across Sheldon’s internal construction teams allowed site-specific challenges to be resolved quickly, including conflicts between power pole locations and the management of pre-existing ductwork. Works included the demolition of existing timber flooring, removal of the existing cement-based floor levelling compound, and the installation of a new floor levelling system across the area to achieve an even, compliant substrate. Select areas of existing carpet were also retained and reused without any delays.
Strengthening MQX4
This global technology company’s move into MQX4 plays an important role in shaping how the building is perceived during its early stage of establishment. By delivering this end-user workplace alongside a range of other premium speculative suites on the same level, Sheldon’s design and construction teams demonstrate how the building can accommodate immediate tenant needs while remaining adaptable for future occupants.
It’s these long-term partnerships with building owners, including CapitaLand that reflect a broader, repeatable approach to delivery rather than a one-off outcome. Applied across multiple assets, this consistency helps lift the quality of office environments and positions buildings as credible, long-term options for established tenants.
