A unique fitout for archaeology company GML Heritage.
In a continuation of LaSalle and Sheldon’s relationship, following the successful fitout of six floors at 323 Castlereagh St, LaSalle contracted Sheldon to complete two tenancies across Level 17. As tenants GML (heritage and archaeology consultancy firm) signed a lease for one of the tenancies prior to design completion, Sheldon engaged with all tenant stakeholders to ensure that their design and budget requirements were met and managed.
Solution
As they were signed on to the space prior to design completion, Sheldon were able to incorporate GML’s brand colours and company culture throughout the suite. Largely collaborative, the workplace features a large open plan break and kitchen area which flows seamlessly into a “library” breakout space, that's circular silhouette is accommodated through a custom curved multi-use seating, biophilia, and shelving unit created through Sheldon’s manufacturing division.
The library was designed to house GML’s industry library collection and archaeology texts. Other spaces and workpoints created for GML include several quiet rooms, a deep blue boardroom, and archaeology lab designed specifically to accommodate GML’s processes. GML requested an Archaeology/wet lab for their site teams and artifact treatment to be included in the fitout with full silt trap to sinks.
Result
The seamless integration of GML’s processes into the new space stands testament to Sheldon’s workplace strategy design phase and expertise in delivering workspaces across a number of industries.
