A Modern Refresh Through Adaptive Reuse
The Global-Mark office at 32 Delhi Road underwent a complete transformation, turning from an outdated and cluttered workspace into a modern, efficient, and visitor-friendly environment. The refurbishment was guided by an adaptive reuse strategy that retained the best of the existing built form while introducing new life through refined finishes, improved functionality, and considered design interventions. Through an initial site audit, the Sheldon team was able to identify key elements that could be rejuvenated rather than replaced, maximising sustainability and cost efficiency.
The original timber flooring was carefully restored with a whitewash finish, enhancing its natural grain while adding a sense of lightness throughout the space. In addition to these renewed elements, the upgraded workspace now includes a purpose-built quiet room with acoustic treatments for focused tasks and an open floor plan equipped with Australian-made sit-to-stand workstations.

Intergrated Solutions
Sheldon secured the Global-Mark project through a unified delivery strategy that combined manufacturing and installation expertise. Our long-term relationship gave Global-Mark confidence in our environmental, WHS, and quality management systems, which align with their own standards. These frameworks guided audits of existing assets, inspections of adaptive reuse elements, and approval workflows that ensured precise delivery of new glass partitions, a custom entry desk and seating, and a rear kitchen banquette.
Local production was central to the project’s success. Using Sheldon’s Somersby Furniture Manufacturing Facility, all major joinery and furniture items were produced in-house, supporting sustainability, cost efficiency, and quality control. The facility also supplied Australian-made sit-to-stand workstations that now form part of the upgraded office environment.
