Three speculative suites showcase Sheldon’s collaborative design and construct process.
Having previously completed a workplace in this building for Siemens Healthineers, Sheldon worked with building owners Artifex to craft three new speculative suites on Level 1. With a warm shell and no existing fitout on Level 1, we designed three contemporary suites that showcase our team’s specialty design and construct capabilities, adding to our portfolio of workplaces completed in Macquarie Park, including at Kador Group and Keppel.
Solution
With a clear brief for three future-forward speculative suites that would suit a wide range of prospective tenants, our design team set about creating impactful and functional spaces, all of which was achieved within a short program.
We reused the base building carpet and ceiling tiles, successfully showcasing how older elements of a build can be reused and incorporated into a new setting.
With different layouts and palettes distinguishing each suite, these designs showcase Sheldon’s design and construct skills. Each suite offers a seamless and collaborative workplace experience. The kitchens, planters, workstations and timber battening screens showcase Sheldon’s in-house joinery/manufacturing capabilities.
Our delivery team successfully overcame a challenge that arose due to the condition of the concrete slab which was not suitable for polished concrete in some areas. Smart and efficient planning led to adjusting our design and moving finishes around to resolve this issue.
Result
A successful relationship with an existing client, alongside previous experience in the building and a brilliantly executed design concept, these three speculative suites showcase Sheldon’s extensive experience and teamwork.
