A transformative new workplace stems from Sheldon’s expertise in this building.
Bouygues is a French construction company with a global presence, and their growing operations in Australia necessitated an updated office in a new and improved Sydney location. They selected a suite at 558 Pacific Highway St Leonards, where Sheldon has completed three levels of speculative suites in the development for owners JQZ. Due to the success of these suites, our team worked with Bouygues to envisage a workplace that suited the requirements of their team.
Solution
Light and airy, with dark joinery that makes a strong visual impact, this workplace exemplifies a contemporary way of working through its combination of spaces.
The breakout area makes the most of natural light that pours through the windows, while a banquette seat with in-built planting adds a natural touch. The brightness of this space is contrasted with the dark joinery in the kitchen.
A large boardroom is situated close to the entrance allowing ease of access for clients and guests. Meeting rooms align the open plan working area, allowing for staff to collaborate or focus independently in their setting of choice. A dedicated ‘library’ space at the rear of the office can be closed off by a curtain for ultimate quiet. A wall of lockers designed and built by Sheldon’s manufacturing team lines the far end of the office.
With Indigenous names marking meeting rooms, and Indigenous artworks decorating the space, Bouygues acknowledges the land on which they work.
Result
Through effective communication and collaboration, Sheldon’s team achieved a workplace which transforms operations for Bouygues. Our knowledge of the building and streamlined design and construct process led to an excellent outcome.
