Future proofing the workplace to enable a company’s success.
With Sheldon’s experience across multiple floors in the JQZ development in St Leonards, we were approached by agricultural insurance company Rural Affinity to design their new workplace. Inspired by the design of our speculative suites in the same building, our team collaborated on a design to suit the needs of Rural Affinity in a brand new suite.
Solution
This workspace offers a tailored solution for Rural Affinity. A compact entry waiting area with a custom logo decal on the wall leads towards a large boardroom that seats 20 people, as well as smaller meeting rooms close to the entrance. This layout prioritises Rural Affinity’s need to host clients and board meetings, with ease of access to these spaces.
Open plan workstations are situated in the centre of the workplace, with the generous open breakout area towards the rear. A collaborative social space with curved furniture and relaxed seating forms a striking focal point. Dark joinery battening and planter boxes are framed on one side, and a grid-like acoustic panelling on the ceiling distinguishes the space. This enhances the acoustic quality of this zone, and adds an aesthetic layer of interest.
The kitchen is filled with café style tables and seating, in a prime area alongside windows and natural lighting, offering views across Sydney. The green natural stone kitchen countertop adds a textural and luxurious finish to the kitchen.
Result
Through early identification of issues on site, and effective collaboration across Sheldon’s teams including the problem-solving capabilities of our joinery manufacturing team, this project was successfully completed on time and to budget. Rural Affinity are extremely pleased with their new space and how it will enable their team to thrive.
