A highly connected workplace enables a government agency to thrive.
When this Government Agency approached Sheldon, we were tasked with creating a workspace that represented the people who would inhabit the space, and meet the functionality requirements of their activities.
Solution
Sheldon designed an office environment for this Government Agency that encouraged flexible, collaborative working with integrated technology to create a dynamic space ripe for innovation.
Following an open plan, workstations are surrounded by custom designed collaboration areas. Created at Sheldon’s manufacturing facility, writable walls and modular furniture, with integrated IT and AV, provide the Government Agency team with the tools necessary to creatively work together to master transformation in the digital space.
Enclosed meeting rooms were designed in the centre of the space, making use of the abundance of natural light surrounding the perimeter for areas such as breakout and training facility, designed alongside workstation zones for ease of access and to foster the community environment at the Government Agency.
Result
Sheldon ensured that the branding aligned and used a palette of blue tones with complementary timber textures. Graphics were designed to further highlight the connection to people. The existing open ceiling posed some challenges for Sheldon, who worked closely with value engineers to ensure that security and acoustic requirements were met.
By using a number of inhouse services, from electrical to manufacturing, Sheldon completed the project in a matter of weeks. Connectivity now embodies this workplace. Designed for its people, the transformative environment provides the tools to create, connect and collaborate; ultimately paving the path for the agency to achieve its goal.
