Seven adaptable and cohesive suites with distinctive palettes.
Having previously completed Level 3 for our client Keppel in this Macquarie Park building, Keppel engaged Sheldon for another project in the same building, with a large demolition, design and construction scope. We worked across three floors in the building within a tight timeframe, leading to 7 future-focused and inviting speculative suites.
This project was selected as a finalist in the 2024 NECA Awards for excellence in electrical installation.
Solution
Sheldon’s teams worked collaboratively and nimbly to tackle the scope of this project. On Level One, we completed a warm shell make good. We completely demolished the outdated office spaces on Level 4, which we transformed into six new suites. We designed one new suite for Level 5. Ranging from the largest suite over 1000sqm to smaller suites of 100-300sqm, these spaces provide a range of options to suit tenants with varying requirements and numbers of employees.
Each space features custom Sheldon-manufactured joinery, making a striking impression in timber battening that divides a kitchen area from the open plan workpoints. Flexible collaborative spaces are balanced out with private meeting rooms in each suite. Reception waiting areas provide a residential touch with warm, soft furnishings offering an inviting entrance to each suite.
The design of each suite is inspired by its connection to the local environment, which shines through in each colour palette. From soft pinks to tonal greens, these colours offer a calming working environment that encourageas focus work.
In a sustainable approach, we reused over 200 task chairs from the previous space, as well as many workstations and lockers.
Result
Sheldon’s teams successfully managed the huge scope of this project, it was completed on time to a resounding success. Three of the suites were leased prior to the handover, demonstrating their appeal and overall quality, adding to Sheldon’s growing portfolio in Macquarie Park.
