A bold trio of suites reflects hybrid ways of working.
Following successful speculative fitouts for LaSalle Investment Management across six floors at 323 Castlereagh St, Sheldon was selected to design and construct three bespoke speculative suites across Level 16.
Solution
Strategies to create adaptable and future proof speculative suites include:
Inclusion of dynamic and modular work points (collaboration zones, quiet areas, soft seating)
Considerations of employee wellbeing such as biophilia and break room amenities
Sensory considerations
Designing to accommodate hybrid workforces
The brick wall feature element in the reception and boardroom areas of Suite One gives the space depth and purpose, standing out from traditional waiting room design. A feature ceiling was designed and included from reception through to the kitchen breakout area and boardroom, adding dimension to the space. Other highlights of the suite include the dark kitchen with residential features, and the circular meeting area with dark green curtains to close off the space.
Result
Reception to the speculative suites at Level 16, 323 Castlereagh St has been positive, with one suite leased upon completion, and the others leased since completion. Sheldon was awarded another speculative suite fitout at 323 Castlereagh St as a direct result of this project.
Additionally, this trio of suites was awarded finalist at the Polytec Design Awards 2023.
